ABOUT

415 Backflow Testing was started in 2007 when the owner, Bob Stallings received his first “30 Day Notice” the year prior after living in his home for 20 years and had never done a backflow test. Due to a extensive remodel in 2004 – three backflows were installed/required – one on the boiler for the radiant heat system, one on the irrigation system and one for the newly installed fire sprinklers which are now required on all new and remodeled homes in SF. After dealing with a very unpleasant testing company and tester (who quoted saying “start your own company” )he did – AAA Backflow Testing LLC,  so he could do his own testing. After neighbors and friends found out, the founder of Yelp and several early Google employees explained how analytics affected web searches (they all had backflows in their residences) the company went from a hobby to a business testing 3000++ backflows annually.  Due to work conflicts with his other job (pilot for Delta Airlines) he decided to sell the company to one of his employees.  After taking 5 years off and retiring from Delta, he decided to start another testing company – 415 Backflow Testing as some of his extracurricular activities were not budgeted into retirement planning.
